Bad Stat Value

I have a really strange issue, probably due to a PT4 update

I get the error "Bad Stat Value"

I haven't touched anything, the logs shows what's going on, I have some external funcions, I think PPH use the same method as I've just seen an user experienced the same issue, something internal has changed because the query that is executed lacks my function. I've added a few more vs Hero stats, and the query remains the same

Code: Select all
2025/07/20 13:25:23.362 [00000]: [00000AC8][Query::QueryThread] Thread: Begin
2025/07/20 13:25:23.362 [00000]: [00000AC8][Query] Executing SQL (Thread): SELECT ic.id_player,player.id_site,player.player_name,sum(ic.amt_won_curr_conv),sum(ic.cnt_hands) FROM (SELECT cash_cache.id_player,sum(amt_won_curr_conv) AS amt_won_curr_conv,sum(cnt_hands) AS cnt_hands  FROM  cash_cache WHERE  ((cash_cache.id_gametype = 1))  GROUP BY cash_cache.id_player) ic,player WHERE player.id_player=ic.id_player  GROUP BY ic.id_player,player.id_site,player.player_name

Just ignore the pgadmin screenshot, it doesn't mean anything

Ok it is definitely an internal error.

I've just duplicate the column and the stat and it magically works again

This has to be fixed because PPH stats might not work until there's a fix. I can fix mine, but I have to copy and paste everything which isn't ideal. Also, it's no clear what has happened in the last update, but something is broken could be something with the cache. Since my stat was cacheable but it seems now it doesn't

Hello, could you open a Support Ticket with a link to this forum thread and someone with more knowledge about how the stats work will investigate. Also, please attach one of the stats, so that we can reproduce the issue.

It could be very hard to reproduce since I've found a fix, if I export the stat, make a new DB it magically works.

So unless you have the issue yourself it could be very tricky. As I've noticed, another user in another section (PPH) has this issue so it might worth investingating. It's clearly an internal issue since reimporting the stat fixes the bug.
I'm opened to allow access to my computer to any dev

In that case it would be useful if you could create a backup of your database, and attach it to a support ticket (or if it's too big, upload it to a cloud sharing service and send us the download link). That might allow us to reproduce the issue and find a solution. Thank you!

@4starGen.Thanks for finding what the issue was with the vs hero stats. I contacted PPH a while back thinking it was an issue on their side. They uninstalled the Hud and stat packs, then reinstalled them, it did not solve the issue. I tried contacting them again, but the emails just bounce back, same with the web site. Hopefully the team at Pokertracker can figure out the problem.

Try to deselect "Download premium content", close PT4, re enable it and restart PT4. It should do the trick

I've been getting the Bad Stat Value error as well but when I applied the fixes you suggested they still don't work. After duplicating the stat and columns everything is a 0 which is not what happened before updating PT4. Could you be more specific with how you copied the stats? Are you deleting and creating new ones or clicking "duplicate"? Is it just that statistics or the columns as well?
