Quick Filter "DISABLE" Menu Option

Many requests of improving the ease of use of the Quick Filters.

The access of the filters when testing out situations can involve a lot of inserting and deleting options (like position, hands, stack size,...). Even loading predefined filters may require removing portions of them.

If you have two variables that overlap then you cannot simply NOT one of them.

If you have multiple options of the same filter (stack size range, positions, or players), having a DISABLE option would allow the user to re-activate the filter without going through all the menus again. the option would remain visible but inactive for that report.

It would require you to just import the variable options once and then enable, AND, OR, or disable all from the Quick Filter display screen.


Would really speed up the testing of PT4 stats.

I'm not certain exactly what you're suggesting this disable option do. Can you elaborate some on how it should work?

I think what I was suggesting is only useful for players who play a variety of game types, which is probably a small portion.

Would suggest tho, is when appending / loading a filter that the list at the top is the most recent saved filters.

When you save a filter or append one, it starts you at the top of the list but the new ones are at the bottom. When testing out PT4 stats it requires extra steps to search and scroll for the recent filters.

Simple example would be tagging hands.

If you tag for various reasons like situation, position, stack, blinds,players,.....

You end up either appending filters and deleting them, or select them again in the quick filter menus.

Disable option keeps the filter visible but inactive. if i want to use the common filter I just enable it with one click.


It becomes like a favorite list of your most frequent filters that you use constantly, one click away.

So then where does disabling fit in?

I knew it had potential but wasn't able to explain it:

1 - Results - i may only want to see the results of Hu Hypers today

2 - Stats - See only position play stats with 6 or less players

3 - Reports - filter only hands for tagging under certain conditions

4 - Graphs - filter only for ALL IN hands

So the problem of Quick Filters having to be selected for each Tab menu option can be reduced by having a favorite list of filters that can be enabled / disabled depending on which tab you are using.

Then save these kinds of things that you want via the Quick drop down - then it's two clicks after you change to a different page to switch to the filter set you want. All of the things in the other drop downs are available in the More Filters window in the Game Details area.

I have a drop down list of about 25 items, and when clicked on, window jumps up with a long list, which is more suited to pre / post analysis.


My suggestion would be more useful when accessing the PT4 filters while playing since the More Filters popup box opens up nicely onscreen with ample space to select specific filters.

This could be a way to link a specific Quick filter to each PT4 Tab in future releases of PT4. Useful when playing poker and utilizing all the PT4 features at the same time
