Specific HUD Profiles for different game types

Postby pt4pt4pt4 » Wed Jan 30, 2013 1:20 am

Right now you have a HUD for Full or Short handed so I am assuming that you are reading the HH ?

Problem from before (still i think) is if you select another HUD profile and have a table change then the HUD is reverted to the default setting.

I would think that by reading the first line in the HH you would be able to provide more options and even have a specific HUD for any game a player plays by the HH title.

Insert the title like you have the HUD profiles set up now.

You can have a MTT , STT, or a SNG, Satellite HUD, RUSH, CASH, HYPER...... HUD Profiles for the player to choose from.

totally agree... but the developers have shown no interest in this so it's doomed to failure.

They have to read the HH anyways so it's not like a special task?

Question on HUD profiles:

I duplicated a HUD Profile and all the stats are there but the stats / seating memory is not.

Do I have to reset and place all the stats again, all over the table, or am i missing something?

If you export a group and then reimport it, it will not retain the associated POPUP. You have to assign the POPUPs again?

OK I see, the POPUPS are not global so they have to be imported separately too and then link the two.

EDIT: Nice, after you import the POPUPS. PT4 automatically links the imported group with the correct imported POPUP :)

Can the horizontal line be colored at all?

The horizontal line can't be colored at this point in time.

I'd like to point out the main hurdle here is that tournament detection isn't done (and can't be done) until we have all of the information we can get - at the end of the tournament. So PT4 doesn't know what kind of tournament you're in until the tournament is over, at which point it is too late to assign a specific HUD to it.

One suggestion for HUD selection: Add a possibility to input a regular expression (or list of regular expressions) that PT will match against window title. That should extend the possibilities for differentiating between various game types. Obviously it won't be 100% complete solution, but it definitely should extend the current HUD selection capabilities and I doubt it would even he hard to implement. I'm pretty sure that the more experienced people would come up and share regular expressions on these forums.

Personally I have all kinds of table layouts setup with PlaceMint and there I use regular expressions to differentiate between table types from window titles and they do go quite far.
