Saving/Exporting edited Reports in Statistics

Postby alllala » Sat Nov 17, 2012 6:45 pm

Why isn´t this already a feature? If you can edit it, then you have to be able to save your work.

Any reports you change by adding or removing statistics should stay that way until you change them back. You can export the data in the report via right click -> export report and that will give you a CSV file you can import into Excel or wherever you would like the data.

With exporting I mean the configuration of stats, not to watch the data in a *.csv.
What if I accidentally hit the restore defaults button. Then all my work put in customizing the report will be lost. Or what about installing PT4 on another machine? Should I customize the reports in statistics again?

For clarification. I mean the reports in Statistics under the graph, where you can change between basic and advanced and furthermore by Stake, Postion, Session and Date.

These Reports are all customizable, but you cannot save them or load different ones? But why?

That's what we have the My Reports page for. If you go there and create a new Player report you can add all of the stats from (nearly) any report in PT4, and those can be saved and exported (there are quite a few available for free download in our warehouse).

I know but Statistics Reports and My Reports are not the same. With the first you can double click a row and break down to the hands that are included in the calculated stats.
Nevertheless this is not a reason to have the reports from Statistics editable but not savable.
Well, spinning this further: Why can´t I use the My Reports for the Statitics Reports ( Or off topic: Why can´t I break down rows to the hands involved in My Reports by double clicking like in Statistics?)

I don't know what kind of additional work would need to be done in My Reports to have them be double-clickable, however I agree it would be nice. I'll make a note to ask the development team about that.

Please let me know of any further information about the double-clickable My Reports rows. In another thread my request was ignored (or there were no new news)

I'll let you know if there is any news but I wouldn't expect to hear news very quickly on this kind of thing.
