TAGS IMAGE in Reports display definition when mouse over it

I have 32 tags and it would be informative if it displayed the full name when you placed the mouse over it.


Any way of creating your own tags to display? Import existing PT4 tags into Paint , edit, save and use it any problem?

Noticed that tagging hands greater then 30K was very slow and anything over 90K or 100K would take very long (if at all) and when it selected all of them (@300K hands), wouldn't be able to select a tag (menu woudn't pop up to display all tags).

A one step select / tag would be great for mass quanities and possible for future tourneys option.

If you edit the images to look different but keep the same form factor and save your new images in the same location as the other tag image files we should detect them. I believe we can hold another dozen or so images without any problems, though this hasn't been tested extensively yet.

I'm not sure what you mean by tagging hands greater than 30K was slow - do you have tens of thousands of tagged hands?

Tagged all 450k hands and will be tagging additional combinations.

If you could get us log files of a time where the menu wouldn't pop up the list due to the mass number of hands involved that would help - I'm fairly certain we didn't stress test the tagging system with anything near that number of tagged hands and that log would help us figure out what we can do to help people in situations like yours.

i will set up testing one day and do a SELECT for 310 k hands and then try to do a TAG (which menu won't show tags) and send you a log.

Now, you have to restart PT4 in order to recognize any new tags (copy won't work).

Edited your 20X20 tag image in paint an have gotten up to 44X36 (only 0.3K in size).

Nice larger images and just by using solid colors from paint. Much easier to recognize then those little paint cans you have as default.

Is there a performance issue by adjusting the size of the tag images in my DB? Don't want a performance hit for just a few sizes increse.

Is there any diff in performance between using a situation that is defined by a Quick Filter versus a TAG?

If i called an ALL IN on the Turn with 2 Limpers, would QUICK filters be faster in searching the database or would previously Tagged hands in identical situation be quicker?

It;s not the Tagging that is the problem but the SELECT feature before you get to TAG menu options.

Anyone can Tag 300K hands in their DB and see the problem. I didn't make it clear.

I tagged in 20K increments and here is what I came up with:

Performance: Largeest TAG IMAGE and smallest image make no diff on 334K hands.

Using a predefined QUICK Filter of ANY PREFLOP FOLD took 18 minutes to display and same hands already Tagged as PREFLOP FOLD took 19 minutes.

Display a bit laggier with the larger images when scrolling through the list of all hands.

And here I thought that you couldn't change the size - thanks for setting the record straight there. Since all that PT stores is the image location I can't imagine any real slowdown there (except maybe as you say when scrolling through lists of hands).

It sounds like the time it's taking to return that data is just the speed of your hard drive when retrieving information as it's similar to running a filtered query which isn't cached. What are the specs on your machine?

I will add this here:

I lost use of my NO QUICK FILTER option after I created new ones.

The problem was that starting up PT4 or clearing filters, it would never default back to NO QUICK FILTER and it was always few spots down the list.

Problem solved when I edited the new filters that I created with a space or a negative sign.
