"Selecting" sessions for further analyzing in other tabs

Postby mager » Fri Apr 06, 2012 3:48 pm

I don't know why in the world did you omit that feature when you created PT4, but you MUST bring back the possibility to "select" session in order to further analyze them in other tabs like position tab, graphs, etc.
The program main purpose is analyzing our game, not being able to easily analyze session(s) is pathetic.

Another thing which can be very useful is filtering for the last 'X' hands, which I also think is pretty fundamental. But it is not as important as the above.

Thanks.

If you use the Summary tab you can multi-select sessions there and see the hands/graph for those sessions in the box below.

You can get the last X hands by creating a report in My Reports in the Hand section and changing the Most Recent Hands drop down using the custom value to whatever you would like.

This is not helpful.

I want to properly analyze session(s) and/or my last X hands in tabs like position tab, hand range visualizer, graph with showdown/non showdown winnings, etc. Basically I just want to use the software features to analyze my session(s) which is a VERY basic thing for any decent player to do on a regular basis.
The whole purpose of tracking software is ANALYZING your game(and using HUD). Not being able to use the software functions for specific session(s) is just ridiculous. I mean, I it's even more than this - I simply don't get why in the world wouldn't you make it possible to analyze session(s) using the software features.

Any updates on this?
This is just annoying that I can not properly analyze sessions and need to have work around's that are only DECENT compared to the full functionality of the software.

Ahh that's disappointing.
Honestly, don't you think it's pathetic that in an analyzing software I can not properly analyze sessions? I mean, does it get more basic than this?

Although I don't like the tone of mager's request (demand) I agree that it would be helpful to analyse session by selecting a session.

The request has been made to the development team, but they're very busy and I can't say when it will be implemented.

Ahh it might came a bit strong but that was not my intention. PT have one of the best support I have ever encountered with great people - so I hope I didn't insult anyone.
But as I said, I just feel that it is SUCH a basic thing - that i'm not sure why it got dropped out(it does exist in PT3).
