graph tournament with #buyin in y axis

Postby Boy George » Sun Dec 25, 2011 11:12 am

I dont have the chance of being part of pt74 beta, so i dont if this feature is already implemented.
however pt3 is cruelly missing the ability to put the number of buyins in y axis of tournament graphs.....

Have a nice day

Merry christmas all.

I'm not certain how that would work - as soon as you're playing multiple types of tournaments which size do we use for the y-axis? We do show you your results in Prizes, BB, and Chips in the PT4 graphs.

divide the number of chips won by 1500 (or whatever the starting stack is) and you get the numbers of won buyins. Very usefull if you mix limits, and still want to have the ability to know your profitability in terms of buyins.
If multiple starting stack sizes, divide the number of chips won by the sum of starting stack sizes.

Perhaps there is a more efficient method, this is the only one i can think about right now, but i havent taken time to think about it.
Holdem manager been doing this for a long time and ive always used it a lot.
I searched for a way to do this with "configure stats", bu graphs seem to be not configurable...

That functionality should work once the winnings are set to Chips or Big Blinds.

You can overlay any statistic you would like on the graph - a custom y-axis will be drawn for the statistic that you add.

Divide by starting stack doesn't account for rake, so a custom stat solution has to incorporate that somehow.

I feel this should be provided by default, it's one of the most important features for a sng / tournament player. along with working EV on the same graph (for the 1 table games), which may also be possible with a custom stat?

Also, I think OP might be referring to the graph on the main results tab? Last time I tried I couldn't find a way to configure that one, although I could configure / add in EV adjusted to the ones in the Graphs tab.

I'm not sure how that would work - your cash prize is unrelated to your chips.. If you finish 2nd you lose all your chips ("1 buy-in" in your method) but you actually win money.
It sounds like you want the "ROI" (Return On Investment) stat, which is (and always has been) built in.
