Backup/Restore "Optional Files" Problem

In preparation to upgrade to v4.19 (from v4.18.24) I backed up to an external drive and then restored to my standby backup system so I could do runtime testing before upgrading my primary system. At restore completion the status panel had a number of errors such as, “ErrorRemoving Temp Undo Optionals Subfolder...” On testing the restored db I found that although the db had all the tournament data there was indeed some “optional” data missing, such as recent updates to my hud.

Also, my snooping around shows that my previously archived backup has this same problem, which is disconcerting. But the backup previous to that one looks ok.

To make a long (troubleshooting) story short, I eventually noticed that on the restore command screen I couldn’t select anything but “processed hands” and all the other “optional” categories were not selectable. I tried the whole process again and made sure at backup on my primary system that I had selected all the “optional files” in the first place. No change when trying restore after but no error messages had been displayed on the backup status panel at completion either, which is also disconcerting.

The backup log from my primary system below shows what looks like the point of error although I don’t have enough knowledge of the app and postgres to interpret it to take the proper corrective actions.

I don't know what's causing that but you can report this via a Support Ticket:

If you want to manually backup the files instead you can do that. The 'User Data Files' option which includes your HUD Profiles is this folder:

C:\Users\Windows Username\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\Data

The 'Processed Hands' backup option is this folder:

C:\Users\Windows Username\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\Processed
