Gametime window error message

I recently made some changes to my PTO databases. The next time I tried open a gametime window it asked for my username and password. I typed in the wrong username and clicked remember these settings. How do I get it to "forget" the settings so I can put in the correct name? PTO, PT (Including gametime windows) and PAHUD work fine otherwise.

I'm using:
XP SP3
PostgreSQL 8.2 (The conf file is edited to "trust")
PTO 2.17.03d

This is the error message:
-----
Database error
Error connecting to the database.
101 - SQLSTATE = 08001
FATAL: role "cooder" does not exist

What changes did you make exactly??

The user name should be "postgres" on the Utilities > PostgreSQL Settings window.

I was afraid you'd ask that. It was something trivial like renaming it or changing the default. By the time I discovered the problem with the Game Time window I'd forgotten what it was.

It is "postgres", I just don't have a way to enter it.

I don't know how you would be getting this error then

FATAL: role "cooder" does not exist

It thinks the user name is "cooder".

Open the File > Maintain Database Names window.
Click the Add button.
Enter a new description, check the "Dflt" box and in the last field choose "Select existing PostgreSQL database"
Select the PTO database from the window that opens.
Click OK to save all changes then CLOSE AND REOPEN PTO and try it again.

Just to be clear, that was what I typed in when it asked for my username.

I followed your instructions, but it didn't work.

I've found something else. If I click on the Game Time tab of the Statistics window, it works normally. But if I click the "View Outside PTO" button, I get the same error message.

When it asks for your user name, it should be "postgres". Does it work after you enter this username? I don't know what else you could have changed to cause this problem.

It doesn't give me a chance to put in my user name. I get the error message, click on OK, and that's it. That's why I want it to "forget" the remembered settings.

Go to the c:\program files\poker tracker omaha folder. Double-click on the file called ptogt.exe there. It will open to ask you to select a database. Select the PostgreSQL db from the list. Does this work?

Nope. There were four databases listed in the window, and I tried all of them. The only one that worked was the original Access database.

I'll have to ask Mike about this problem, he's the PTO support person. I don't know how PTO can be working fine but not the external window.
