database cmpaction

when i try to compact my data i get the message ...unable to compact because database is open . But the database is not open as far as i can tell

Reboot your PC. Don't run any programs and go to your poker tracker v2 program folder. Are there any files that have a .ldb extension? If so, delete that file, then run PT and try the compact again.

Did as you said and found no .ldb files. I did find .dll and .pdb and one empty.bak. Any other ideas? Thanks in advance.

Are you using Vista? If so are you always running the program as administrator?

Try manually compacting the database using these steps:

1. Start / Settings / Control Panel / ODBC Data Sources

2. On the window that opens, click the System DSN tab.

3. Click on the entry PTRACK and click the "Configure..." button.

4. Click the "Compact..." button on the next window.

5. On the next window that pops up, ptrack.mdb should be highlighted but if it's not, select it and click OK.

I get to the point where you say to click "configure," however, when I do that I get the message "The setup routines for the Microsoft Access Driver (*mdb) ODBC driver could not be found. Please reinstall the driver." So how do I reinstall the driver? Thanks for your help.
