Typical Multi Street Betting/Calling Patterns

Postby degoor » Sat Nov 05, 2011 5:01 pm

I would like to track the typical betting/calling patterns of my opponents over multiple streets.

For instance:

1) How often (in %) the opponent will raise preflop and will double barrel the flop and the turn,

or

2) How often (in %) the opponent will raise preflop, make bet/raise on the flop and check the turn,

or

3) How often (in %) the opponent will call on the flop and will bet/raise the turn, etc.

If you kindly help me make any of the above, I will surely make all the other stats I need.

1) Is just "CBet Turn". You can only c-bet the turn if you c-bet the flop, and you can only do that if you were the last to raise preflop.

2) To make the other stats you can use a column expression like:

sum( if[ holdem_hand_player_statistics.cnt_p_raise > 0 AND (holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_f_bet OR holdem_hand_player_statistics.cnt_f_raise > 0) AND holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_t_check, 1, 0 ] )

This would be the "actions" column, and counts the number of times that the player raised at least once preflop and bet or raised the flop and checked the turn.
How you build the "opportunities" column would depend on what you want the above to be a percentage of. I imagine you'd want it to be the percentage of times that they check the turn when they have the opportunities to, having taken the same line up to that point, in which case the opportunities column would be:

sum( if[ holdem_hand_player_statistics.cnt_p_raise > 0 AND (holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_f_bet OR holdem_hand_player_statistics.cnt_f_raise > 0) AND (holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_t_check OR holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_t_bet), 1, 0 ] )

(You had an opportunity to check if you bet or checked - if you did neither of those then you did not have an opportunity to check.)

For how to build a stat from these column expressions see the walkthrough in the Tutorial: Custom Reports and Statistics.

The Database Schema has a list of all database fields, and you can also use the "insert" link in the custom stats window to find the exact database fields you want. If there's anything you need please ask and we'll be happy to point you in the right direction.
