Will PT3 beta datamine observed hands on FTP?

I am currentlt waiting for the PT3 commercial release before i sign on with FTP. I am waiting because i want to datamine for a few days at least before i start playing. I will be playing $3/6 limit games primarily with a starting BR of at least $2,000(+rakeback ;) ). I think i read somewhere that PT could in fact datamine any hands that are being observed. Can anyone confirm or deny this. If this is the case, why would anybody buy Idleminer for Full Tilt? Anyhow, If this is true, i could go ahead and deposit my money, run PT3 beta, use realtime hud temporarily, then buy PT3 when it hits the market.

Thanks in advance for any clarification.

Full Tilt writes their observed hand histories to disk. If you have PT3 reading from the Full Tilt Poker\HandHistory directory, it will import those observed hands.

Playing FTP using the Beta 4 of PT3 works very well and is certainly capable of importing the observed hands.

People buy idleminer for FT or nanochip's FTTO because they automate the process of table finding / opening, so it will for automatically close empty tables / open new 3/6 limit tables if you are not present to do so yourself, or simply would rather be doing something else :)

You can also just manually import all the .tmp files that FT saves of observed tables if you don't want to have PT running the whole time. Just make sure not to close FT before copying/import them. Or just move them to a separate folder so even if you close FT they won't get deleted.
